How can we help your domestic pet?
The small animal team at Kingston are a forward thinking group that look at the future of small animal veterinary medicine, whilst also staying true and humble to our Dorset roots. Our team actively invests their time in building relationships with you and to better understand your animals. Our vets regularly attend courses to further their knowledge basis and develop their practical skill set, these courses help us ensure that our vets are keeping up to date with the newest standards.
Neutering & Keyhole Surgeries
We offer neutering of dogs, cats and rabbits, we will need to have seen your pet with in the last 6 months prior to surgery. You can book in for a pre-op check in order to cover this or equally if you would like to know more information about the procedure. You will be booked in a “see home” appointment post-surgery for the vet/nurse to go through the aftercare. Appointments can be booked Monday to Friday. Routine neutering can be completed at either our Sherborne or Yeovil branches.
Dentals
We offer dentals for dogs, cats and rabbits, we will need to have seen your pet with in the last 6 months prior to surgery. You can book in for a pre-op check in order to cover this or equally if you would like to know more information about the procedure. Keyhole Spays
We are proud to be able to offer keyhole (laparoscopic) spay services for dogs.
This minimally invasive procedure allows us to neuter female dogs through 3 very small surgical incisions into the abdominal wall. Find out more.
Vaccinations
We offer routine vaccinations for dogs, cats and rabbits. There are additional vaccinations that can be done such as Kennel Cough or Rabies.
Laboratory
We have in house laboratory facilities that can be used for a variety of initial sample testing. We also have the ability to send samples to the lab facilities at Axiom in Exeter for further or specific testing.
General Appointments
Appointments can be booked Monday - Saturday during our surgery times. Vets work a set pattern of days so whilst we can accommodate booking you in with your preferred vet, emergency appointments will be allocated to the vet working the small animal surgery that day.
Non-routine surgery
We can complete any non-routine surgeries at either of our branches. These are surgeries such as lump removals, investigations etc. these can be booked in Monday to Friday.
Referrals
Depending on the referral type some surgeries can be completed at our Sherborne and Yeovil branches. For more serious cases, you may be asked to go to the specialist centre. Contact us to find out more.
